AIRBRUSH MAKEUP EXPLAINED (To airbrush or not to airbrush – that is the question)
Airbrush makeup is not to be confused with Airbrushing done with computer techniques. The end result gives one a seamless, natural, very finished, pure, dewy and polished look. It is a specialized technique. It is a bit more expensive than hand applied makeup because of the equipment etc. used which is all imported at this stage.
Airbrushing is done by spraying a fine mist very gently over the face/skin with a specially designed airbrush makeup gun filled with a formulated thin makeup foundation and thereafter (still with airbrush makeup formulas) spraying and adding colours for eyes, cheeks and eyebrows etc. The soft air pressure comes from a small compressor. The amount of makeup is controlled by the artist. It lays a sheer layer and is for all skin types. It is a another professional and exciting method of applying makeup . It can be combined with hand applied makeup as well.

PHOTOGRAPHIC ADVANTAGES OF AIRBRUSH MAKEUP
It is IDEAL where high definition cameras are used such as for weddings, film, commercial sets, photo shoots and ramp work. Airbrush makeup is a much finer product, thinner than a traditional foundation. Because it comes out as a spray, it very closely mimics the way a camera sees your face. Think of it as tiny little pixels being applied as opposed to a big block of colour. The spray dot micro fine pattern an airbrush puts down registers far less on the camera than traditional hand makeup. . Airbrushing lays down the makeup in a dot pattern that is so similar to the way a camera reads the face giving artists and photographers an advantage in this field. It photographs more easily.
